Description :Amoxicillin related compound D is a clavulanic acid derivative that is structurally similar to amoxicillin. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of beta-lactamases and a potent inhibitor of bacterial cell wall synthesis. The inhibitory activity is increased by the presence of potassium clavulanate, which enhances the affinity for the beta-lactamase enzyme. Amoxicillin related compound D can be used as a substitute for amoxicillin in situations where bacteria are resistant to this antibiotic, such as in patients with renal failure or those taking other drugs that reduce amoxicillin levels in the blood.
