This compound also has potential use as a template molecule for the design of novel drugs with anticancer and antiadrenergic activity. 1-Allylpiperazine is synthesized from the monomers trimethylolpropane and piperazine in two steps. It is also known to be an inhibitor of cellular protein synthesis.
