• Description: 2-Aminodiphenylamine is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CHN. It is a white solid that has a melting point of about 170°C and a boiling point of about 360°C. 2-Aminodiphenylamine can be synthesized by reacting diphenylmethane with hydrochloric acid, followed by hydrogenation of the resulting diaminodiphenyl methane. It is an aromatic amine that has two nitrogen atoms in its structure. The molecule has a redox potential of -0.2 volts and can exist as either an acidic or basic form depending on pH levels. 2-Aminodiphenylamine also reacts with azobenzene to form coumarin derivatives, which are used in analytical chemistry for titration calorimetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and structural analysis.
