• Description: 2-Aminoethyl diphenylborinate (2-APB) is a pharmacological agent that has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of growth factor-β1. This compound also has minimal toxicity, and it is a natural product. 2-APB inhibits the activity of borate channels in cell membranes and blocks intracellular calcium channels, which prevents the influx of calcium into cells. This compound has been shown to act as an inhibitor molecule by blocking the channel or 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate, which is an intracellular inhibitor molecule.
