Description

1-Acetylpiperidine-4-carboxylic acid (ACPC) is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of the neurokinin-1 receptor. ACPC has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. It has also been shown to have antipsychotic effects and could be an effective treatment for psychotic disorders. The pharmacophore of ACPC is based on the cyclohexane ring and piperidine moieties, which are thought to provide affinity for the neurokinin-1 receptor.
