Description

3'-Amino-2'-hydroxyacetophenone is a synthetic compound that reacts with salicylaldehyde and hydrochloric acid to form an aromatic hydrocarbon. The reaction vessel used is made of glass and contains potassium dichromate, copper complex, and nitro. This product can be produced in acidic conditions with the addition of phosphotungstic acid and chloride. 3'-Amino-2'-hydroxyacetophenone can also be produced by reacting mercuric chloride, which is an oxidizing agent, with an aromatic hydrocarbon.
