Description

2-Acetamido-5-bromobenzoic acid methyl ester is a mixture of compounds that is used as a pharmaceutical ingredient. It has been shown to be effective in treating diarrhea and dysentery, as well as being effective against certain bacteria such as Clostridium difficile. 2-Acetamido-5-bromobenzoic acid methyl ester was developed from the systematic study of a series of mixed compounds. The elution profile of this compound can be correlated with the elution profile of other compounds to determine whether the compound is present in the sample.
