Description :
L-Tyrosinol is an anti-inflammatory agent that is used for the treatment of autoimmune and infectious diseases. It has been shown to have a peroxidase-like activity, which can be inhibited by histidine and thus may interact with active enzymes in the body. L-Tyrosinol also has antiviral properties, as it inhibits protein synthesis in viruses. L-Tyrosinol also has anticancer activity, as it inhibits cell growth in b16 mouse melanoma cells. L-Tyrosinol also minimizes hydrogen bonding interactions between amino acids in proteins and prevents their degradation, which may result in the inhibition of cancer cell proliferation.
