Description :2-(1-Bromoethyl)-1,3-dioxolane is an organic compound with a molecular weight of 214.2 g/mol. It has two isomers: the cis form and the trans form. The cis form is more stable and less reactive than the trans form, although both have approximately equal binding affinity for human cytochrome P450. 2-(1-Bromoethyl)-1,3-dioxolane can be found in the metabolic profiles of many anticancer drugs such as abscisic acid, carboxylic acid and ethyl group derivatives. Furthermore, it can be used to synthesize polymers that are used in cancer treatments.
