Description :
4-Chlorophenyl)methyl acetate is an ester of the organic compound 4-chlorophenol and the alcohol methyl alcohol. This product is a white solid that can be used for the encapsulation of lipases. It has been immobilized using various methods, including adsorption on silica gel or activated carbon, or by ionic bonding to a cationic polymer. The acetylation reaction can be carried out with sodium acetate in methanol at room temperature and pH 8-9.
