Description :
Piperonyl isobutyrate is a piperonyl ester that has an inhibitory effect against the cytochrome P-450 enzyme. It can be used as a pesticide to control pests in food and animal feed. Piperonyl isobutyrate inhibits the activity of the ferula, which is a pest that feeds on stored grains. Piperonyl butoxide and piperonyl acetone are two other pesticides that belong to this group of insecticides.
