Description

Prednisolamate-d10 is a drug used to treat inflammatory bowel disease. Prednisolamate-d10 is a pharmaceutical preparation of hydrocortisone acetate and prednisolamate, which are both corticosteroids. Prednisolamate-d10 can be reconstituted with saline or water. The viscosity of the reconstituted solution will depend on the concentration of the hydrocortisone acetate, but is generally about 1,000 cps. Prednisolamate-d10 has been shown to be effective for inflammatory bowel disease in animals. Prednisolamate-d10 also has anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. This drug is not active against acid-fast bacteria such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis or Mycobacterium avium complex.
