Description :
4-Methoxybenzenesulfonic acid is a sulfonic acid that is used as a reagent in organic synthesis. It reacts with dioxane to produce a sulfonyl chloride. 4-Methoxybenzenesulfonic acid can also be used for the sulfonation of amines, alcohols, or carboxylic acids. This compound has been shown to enhance the reaction rate by up to 25% and increase flow cytometric sensitivity by up to 2-fold. The addition of substituents on the benzenesulfonate group can also affect the stereospecificity of this reaction.
