It has been shown to be effective against cancer cells by inhibiting the process of epigenetic changes. UNC 0638 has also been shown to inhibit tumor growth in a mouse model through its ability to inhibit the expression of toll-like receptor 4, which is involved in inflammation. This drug was found to have significant cytotoxicity when tested on human pluripotent cells and was able to preserve their developmental potential.
