A control group was used when conducting an experiment with glycol ethers and analytical methods were used for sample preparation in order to determine if there are any receptors for 2-bromopropane. The mechanism of reaction for 2-bromopropane has not yet been determined, but it is hypothesized that it reacts with isopropyl alcohol.
