• Description: Ethyl 4-aminobenzoate is an organic compound that belongs to the group of drugs called local anesthetics. Ethyl 4-aminobenzoate reacts with benzalkonium chloride in acidic solution (pH 2) to form benzocaine and benzoic acid, which can be detected using analytical methods such as gas chromatography or HPLC.
