3-Bromoaniline is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CHBrNO. It is an organic compound that contains hydrogen bonding and can act as a growth factor for cells. 3-Bromoaniline has been shown to form a reversible complex with hydrochloric acid and amines, which may be due to the hydrogen bonding between the hydroxyl group of hydrochloric acid and the phenolic OH group of 3-bromoaniline. The complex formed by 3-bromoaniline and hydrochloric acid has been shown to be cytotoxic to cultured cells. This reaction is irreversible, so it cannot be used in vivo.
