Informations sur le produit
2-Bromo-3-fluoropyridine is a chemical intermediate that belongs to the group of heterocyclic compounds. It is synthesized by the reaction of sodium methanethiolate and formaldehyde with magnesium. The product yield is not very high, but 2-bromo-3-fluoropyridine can be used for the synthesis of other heterocyclic compounds. The compound was first isolated in 1887 by J. Grignard from a reaction between bromine and formaldehyde. It has been shown to have formylation, nucleophilic substitution, and condensation reactions as its transition states. 2-Bromo-3-fluoropyridine can be prepared from the Grignard reagent, methanethiolate, and chlorine or magnesium chloride in an ether solution at room temperature. This compound has also been used as a reagent for the preparation of difluoromethoxybenz
