Description :
2-Benzyloxy-5-bromopyridine is a cyclic compound that has been shown to be able to undergo magnetic hydrogenolysis. It also has ferromagnetic properties, which can be enhanced by irradiation or the presence of metal ions. 2-Benzyloxy-5-bromopyridine is a mononuclear aromatic compound with benzyl and bromine moieties. The amination reaction of this compound with uridine produces N4-benzyloxypyrimidinone, which has been shown to bind covalently to DNA.
