4-Bromo-2-fluoroaniline is an organic compound with the formula CHBrFNH. It is a white solid that is soluble in water, alcohols, and ethers. 4-Bromo-2-fluoroaniline can be synthesized by reacting 4-bromoaniline with hydrogen bromide gas in the presence of ethyl acetate. It has been shown to inhibit cytochrome P450 enzymes, which are necessary for the metabolism of drugs in the body. The molecular modeling studies suggest that this inhibition may be due to steric effects on the active site of cytochrome P450 enzymes. In addition, it has been found that 4-bromo-2-fluoroaniline reacts with fatty acids and dodecanedioic acid to form volatile compounds during storage.
