Description

Benzyl N-(3-fluoro-4-morpholin-4-ylphenyl)carbamate is a synthetic compound that inhibits the growth of bacteria. It is an industrial chemical with a high yield. It is used as a raw material for medicines and has been found to be effective in treating infections caused by Clostridium difficile and other bacteria. The impurities in this chemical are removed by recrystallization, which also provides a high purity product. This chemical can be made on a large scale by reacting tetrahydrofuran (THF) with nitrobenzene. The reaction time for this process is about four hours. Benzyl N-(3-fluoro-4-morpholin-4-ylphenyl)carbamate can be freeze dried into powder form, making it easy to store and transport.
