Description

Bpoc-Ala-OH is a monomer that can be synthesized from the corresponding acid. The synthesis of Bpoc-Ala-OH is reproducible, and the product is characterized by its high purity. It was activated with trifluoroacetic acid and then hydrolyzed in alkaline conditions to remove any residual trifluoroacetic acid. The polypeptide was purified and reacted with an alkyne to form an amide bond. This product has been used as an antibiotic against sulfide-producing bacteria and has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
