Description :
N-(5-Bromoquinolin-8-yl)acetamide is a regioselective, site selective, and efficient synthetic intermediate for 8-aminoquinoline. It is synthesized from N-(5-bromoquinolin-8-yl)acetamide with the use of n-fluorobenzenesulfonimide in a transfer reaction. The bromine atom on the amide group is transferred to the nitro group on the 8-aminoquinoline ring, leading to a new amide group. This synthesis provides an efficient and scalable route to 8-aminoquinoline.
