• Description: 2-Bromo-5-fluorobenzoic acid is a polymerase inhibitor that inhibits the activity of the HIV-1 reverse transcriptase by competitive inhibition. It prevents the synthesis of viral DNA by binding to the RNA template and preventing chain elongation.
