Description :
2-Bromo-2-butene is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme, which has been shown to be effective in the synthesis of antibiotics. More specifically, 2-bromo-2-butene has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes that are involved in the elimination reactions of chlorides and organometallic compounds. This inhibition results in the accumulation of these reagents and the production of an active form. The stereoselective property of 2-bromo-2-butene allows for the synthesis of only one enantiomeric form.
