Description :
5-Bromo-2,2'-bithiophene is a cyclic compound that has a transition between two tautomeric forms. It has been determined to have an electron transfer interaction with naphthalene. Cyclic voltammetry and other spectroscopic studies have shown that 5-bromo-2,2'-bithiophene can be converted into 2-bromothiophene by electropolymerization. The crystal structure of 5-bromo-2,2'-bithiophene has been determined to be intramolecular.
