Description :
2-Bromo-4-methyl-1-nitrobenzene is an organic compound that reacts with nucleophiles. It has been used as a substrate for the dehydrating agent and the dehydrated product can be used in the synthesis of nucleosides and other compounds. 2-Bromo-4-methyl-1-nitrobenzene can react with chloride to form a mononucleotide, which can then be reacted with arsenical to produce methylbenzenes.
