Description :Benzyldiphenylphosphine is a ligand that can be used to synthesize palladium complexes with a variety of cations. It binds to metal ions by chelate ring formation and coordinates in a tetrahedral geometry. Benzyldiphenylphosphine also has the ability to act as an efficient homogeneous catalyst for the reaction of chloride and fatty acids, which is due to its nucleophilic attack on the carbonyl group. The molecule is thermally stable and has been shown to have no effect on cell viability.
