Description :
4-Bromo-1-trityl-1H-imidazole is a nitroimidazole that has been demethylated, debrominated, and propylated. It is also selectively brominated and derivatized with methyl groups. 4-Bromo-1-trityl-1H-imidazole is used in the synthesis of 2,4,5,6-tetrafluoroacetophenone derivatives. The product can be used as a precursor for the synthesis of other organic compounds.
