2,4-Bis(octylthio)-6-(4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylanilino)-1,3,5-triazine is a triazine that has been synthesized by the reaction of glycol esters with hydrogenated hydrochloric acid. This compound is used as a polymerization initiator and is a liquid crystal composition stabiliser. It can be used in sample preparation to provide protection against water vapor and light emission. 2,4-Bis(octylthio)-6-(4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylanilino)-1,3,5-triazine has antioxidant properties and can be used for determining functional groups in organic compounds.
