(S)-2-Benzyl-piperazine,2HCl is a heterocyclic compound that is used in the synthesis of other drugs. It is also an intermediate for the synthesis of 2-benzyl-piperazine, which has been shown to have a variety of biological activities, including being active against tumor cells. The mechanism of action of this molecule is not well understood, but it may be due to the ability to form covalent bonds with plasma proteins and act as a methylene acceptor.
