Description

1,12-Bis[4-methyl-5-(2-hydroxyethyl)thiazol-3-ium-3-yl]dodecanedibromide is a phosphatidylcholine analog with a linker and phosphate group. It interacts with the plasma membrane of the parasites, which leads to the crosslinking of lipid bilayers. This interaction may be due to its bifunctional nature as an antimalarial drug that also has diagnostic properties.
