Description

1-Bromo-3-phenoxybenzene is a copper salt that inhibits the growth of cells by binding to the copper ion. It has been shown to be effective against tissue samples and cancer cells, with a cytotoxic effect on breast cancer cells. This drug also inhibits cell growth by inhibiting protein synthesis through disruption of the ribosome. 1-Bromo-3-phenoxybenzene has been shown to have sirt1 inhibitory activity, which may contribute to its cytotoxicity.
