Description :
3-Bromo-5-ethoxypyridine is an organic compound that contains a hydroxyl group and a nucleophile. It can be synthesized by the reaction of bromine with ethoxyethane in hydrochloric acid. The synthesis of 3-bromopyridine can also be achieved by reacting piperidide with 4-iodopyridine, 4-bromopyridine, or 4-hydroxypyridine. 3-Bromo-5-ethoxypyridine is used to synthesize amides and sulfoxides, which are intermediates for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and other chemicals.
