Tert-butyl (1-(hydroxymethyl)cyclopropylcarbamate) is an insecticide that belongs to the chemical family of carbamates. It has a high yield and is cheaper than most other carbamates. Tert-butyl (1-(hydroxymethyl)cyclopropylcarbamate) can be synthesized in a two-step process from thiacloprid, which is also an insecticide. The tert-butyl group in this compound is derived from imidacloprid, which has been shown to have x-ray crystal structure analyses and six-membered x-ray crystal structure.
