p-Bis(diethoxyphosphono)xylene (BDXP) is a synthesized chemical that has been shown to interact with the trifluoromethyl group in phenothiazine. BDXP has also been shown to be fluorescent and have photophysical properties. It can be used as a device for fluorescence, which may be useful for Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders. Functional theory shows that BDXP has low energy and may have anti-inflammatory activities.
