Description

Tert-butyl glycidyl ether is a synthetic chemical compound that is an epoxide. It reacts with hydrochloric acid and undergoes cationic polymerization to form polymers. It also reacts with trifluoroacetic acid, which leads to the formation of ring-opening products. Tert-butyl glycidyl ether has been shown to interact with biological studies, such as mitochondrial membrane potential, and reaction products can be found in human lymphocytes. Tert-butyl glycidyl ether has been shown to have kinetic properties that are similar to cyclopentene oxide.
