Description :
1,3-Bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)propane is a cyclic compound with high yield and good ligand properties. It has been expressed in Escherichia coli as a hydroxy phosphine ligand and exhibits electrochemical behavior similar to that of diphosphines. 1,3-Bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)propane is used in the synthesis of chiral phosphoramides. The product ions of 1,3-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)propane are characteristic for cyclic compounds containing an electron-donating group at the 2 position. Electrospray ionization experiments show that 1,3-Bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)propane has a carbonyl group and two phosphine groups.
