Informations sur le produit
Benzyl 5-fluorofuran-2-carboxylate is a tetraphenylphosphonium salt that has been used as a catalyst in the hydrogenolysis of benzyl alcohols to produce benzyl 5-fluoroformates. It can be prepared by catalytic sulfolane hydrolysis of 2,5-difluoroacetophenone with potassium fluoride, followed by reaction with benzyl chloride. The fluorine atom in this compound is not an electrophile and does not react with hydrogen.
