Description :
Bicyclopyrone is a herbicide that inhibits the synthesis of the amino acids tryptophan, lysine and methionine by blocking protein synthesis in plants. It has been shown to have synergistic effects with other herbicides such as glyphosate, which are also active substances. Bicyclopyrone has been used to control weeds in wheat crops and is also effective against herbicide-resistant strains of wild oats. This substance is a pyrimidine compound that belongs to the group of C1-C4 haloalkyl. It is an analytical standard for the determination of nitrogen atoms in dry weight samples of tissue culture material.
