Informations sur le produit
- 1,4-Benzenedicarboxylic acid, mono(1,1-dimethylethyl) ester
- 4-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl)benzoic acid
4-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl)benzoic acid is an organic compound that belongs to the group of n-substituted organic acids. It is a white solid that is soluble in water and has a strong acidic taste. 4-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl)benzoic acid is used as a pharmaceutical. This compound blocks the sodium channels in human leukocytes, which prevents the release of elastase, thereby inhibiting neutrophil function. It also appears to block the activation of epithelial sodium channels and may inhibit their ability to transport sodium ions across membranes, thus reducing epithelial secretion and preventing bronchoconstriction. 4-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl)benzoic acid has two tautomers: ketone and amide.
