Informations sur le produit
- (5-Bromo-2-nitropyridin-3-yl)amine
5-Bromo-2-nitro-3-pyridinamine is a drug that has been shown to have anti-HIV activities. It inhibits the HIV reverse transcriptase, an enzyme that is necessary for the replication of the virus. 5-Bromo-2-nitro-3-pyridinamine binds to the active site of HIV reverse transcriptase and prevents it from functioning. This binding does not have any effect on wild type HIV or on other retroviruses. 5-Bromo-2-nitro-3-pyridinamine has also been shown to be a potent inhibitor of nevirapine and etravirine, two drugs used in the treatment of HIV. 5BPNP is an analog of nucleoside antiviral agents such as zidovudine, which are used in combination with other antiretroviral drugs for the prevention and treatment of AIDS.
