• Description: Betacetylmethadol hydrochloride is a pharmaceutical that belongs to the group of opioid analgesics. It is an active form of the prodrug, betacetylmethadol. Betacetylmethadol hydrochloride has a high addictive potential and can lead to overdose. The active agent in betacetylmethadol hydrochloride is oxycodone, which has been shown to have physiological activity. Oxycodone is metabolized by the liver into oxymorphone, which has similar effects as morphine.
