Description :
1,2-Bis-(tert-butyldimethylsilyl)hydrazine is a catalytic reagent that can be used for the reduction of aromatic ketones and aldehydes to their corresponding alcohols. It is also used in the hydrazone formation reaction and provides a clean conversion of vinyl bromides to aliphatic bromides. This reagent is stable at low temperatures and has been shown to be efficient in coupling reactions with many different types of organic compounds, including scandium trifluoromethanesulfonate.
