• Description: 4-Bromophenol acetate is a liquid phase esterification reagent, which can be used for the acetylation of resveratrol. It has an electronic interaction with the phenolic hydroxyl group and reacts with the carbonyl group to form a stable intermediate. This intermediate can then react with another molecule of 4-bromophenol acetate to form an ester. The catalytic activity of this reagent is high because it lowers the activation energy needed for catalysis.
