4-tert-Butylbenzenesulfonyl chloride (4tBS) is a synthetic, chiral compound with antiproliferative effects. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme dehydrogenase and has been shown to inhibit the growth of cells in culture. The crystal structure of 4tBS has been determined by X-ray diffraction and found to have a pyrazole ring. 4tBS also has catalytic asymmetric properties and can be used as a reagent for organic syntheses.
