3-Boc-amiNopheNyl)boroNic acid is an antibiotic that belongs to the class of boronic acid. It has shown significant activity against clinical isolates of pneumoniae and has been shown to be active against Enterobacteriaceae in vitro. 3-Boc-amiNopheNyl)boroNic acid binds to the beta-lactamase enzyme, preventing it from breaking down the drug and rendering it inactive. This antibiotic has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of DNA by binding to the polymerase, which causes cell death. The optimal pH range for this antibiotic is between 5 and 6, with a frequency of 10 µg/mL. 3-Boc-amiNopheNyl)boroNic acid also shows activity against escherichia coli at a concentration of 50 µg/mL.
