Description :
6-Bromo-4-hydrazinylquinazoline (6BHQ) is a hydrazine derivative that can be prepared by condensation of acetyl bromide with 6-bromoacetophenone. It has shown anticancer activity in vivo and in vitro, but the mechanism of action is not well understood. The compound has been found to inhibit DNA synthesis in human tumor cells. 6BHQ has also been used as a reagent to produce acetyl derivatives and has been shown to have biological activity.
