Informations sur le produit
2',7'-Bis(2-carboxyethyl)-5(6)-carboxyfluorescein acetoxymethyl ester (BCECF) is a fluorescent probe that has been extensively used in biological and medical research. It can be used as an indicator of the mitochondrial membrane potential and as a measure of photosynthetic activity. BCECF is also used to assess the cellular response to epidermal growth factor, which is involved in cell proliferation. BCECF has also been shown to be useful in clinical studies involving trabeculectomy, a surgical procedure for glaucoma. This probe has been shown to bind to pyrazole rings present in the active site of group P2 enzymes, such as bacterial DNA gyrase and RNA polymerase.
