Boc-4-fluoro-D-phenylalanine is a potent, selective, and noncompetitive agonist of the D2 dopamine receptor. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for Parkinson's disease in animal models. Boc-4-fluoro-D-phenylalanine binds to the D2 receptor with a high affinity and potency. This drug has not been tested as an agonist of other receptors yet, but analogs of this molecule have been developed that show similar effects on the D2 receptor.
